Karen Skeath

Karen R. Skeath, 75, of Slatington, passed away on Monday, August 6, 2018 in her home.  She was the wife of the late John R. Skeath, who passed away in 2014.   She was the daughter of the late Joanquin and Isabele (Leiby) Rauch.   She was the owner of the former Candyland Store, which was started by her parents.   In 2003, Karen was honored by the Lehigh County Office of Aging and Adult Services during their “Tribute to Unsung Heroes” for the care she provided to her brother Rich.
She is survived by sons: John Skeath and wife Valerie of Walnutport, Michael Skeath and companion Lisa of Slatington; Grandchildren: John Paul, Jake, & Alexander; Brother: Richard Rauch; Sister: Nancy and husband Leonard Zimmerman; In-laws: Randy Skeath and wife Gail, Donna and husband Joseph Oliver; Nieces & Nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, August 10, 2018, at Union Cemetery, PA Rte 873, Slatington.  No calling hours.  Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lehigh Valley Hospice, 2024 Lehigh Street, Suite 100, Allentown PA 18103
