Leah Snyder

Leah M. Snyder, 82 of Walnutport died Tuesday March 24, 2015 in her home. She was the wife of the late Jesse J. Snyder, Jr. who died in 2009. Born in Lynnport, she was the daughter of the late Clayton A. and Clara L. (Billig) Gilbert. Leah worked for the former Stanwood Mill in Slatington. She also worked as a manager for Lincoln Manor Apartments in Walnutport. She was a member of the Ladies Lions Auxiliary in Topton, and a former member of the Springside Fire Co., Slatington
Survivors: Daughters; Sharon Snyder of Allentown, Debra Snyder of Bethlehem, Denise and husband Barry Partlow of Pottstown, Shelly and husband Michael Gornick of Lehighton. Son; Jesse J. Snyder, III of Bowmanstown. 7 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren. Leah was pre-deceased by Sisters Ethel Frey, Jean Gilbert, Edith Gilbert, and a brother Raymond Gilbert.
Services: 11am Monday March 30, 2015 Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second Street, Slatington. Calling hour 6-8pm Sunday March 29 at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Slatington.
