Louise Mengoni

Louise A. Mengoni, 69 of Slatington went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday January 27, 2014 in St. Luke's Hospital Bethlehem Campus. She was the wife of Thomas S. Mengoni; they celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary this past April. Born in Hazleton, she was raised by her grandparents, the late August and Alvina Stack. Louise worked as a bookkeeper and manufacturer with her husband's business Reliable Sign & Stripping. Prior to that, she worked as a teacher's aid in Northern Lehigh School District, and was a retail buyer and office manager at the Kmart in Walnutport. She also worked in the medical records department at Lehigh Valley Hospital. Louise volunteered as a den leader for local cub scouts and was an active member of the Booster club.

Survivors: Husband, Sons; Thomas Mengoni and wife Joanne of Fl, John Mengoni and wife Deborah of Lititz, Mark Mengoni and wife Evelyn of CA. Daughter; Lisa Kistler of Palmerton. 8 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandchild.

Services: 11AM Friday January 31, 2014 at

Assumption BVM Church, 649 W. Washington St, Slatington. Calling hour 10-11AM at the church. A light buffet will immediately follow Mass at the church social hall. Interment will then follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Hazleton. Arrangements Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.
