Madeline I. Blaney

Madeline Irma Blaney (née Muller) passed away at the age of 90 on January 1, 2023. She was born on June 25, 1932 in New York, New York and spent most of her life in that state. Her last place of independent residence was Somers, New York. She suffered from dementia in her final years and spent them with her daughter, Kathleen’s family – and, most recently, at Scenic View Personal Care in Palmerton, Pennsylvania. 

Madeline is survived by her five children: Joseph Blaney (Rosemary Camera); Stephen Blaney (Pam Blaney); Jean McGrath (Brian McGrath); Ellen Blaney (James Schillaber); and Kathleen Soika (Mike Soika); as well as her nine grandchildren: Megan, Sean, Miles, Danielle, Christopher, Kyle, Thea, Matthew, and Jennifer. 

Madeline was very active in her church community; her faith was paramount in her life. She was beloved for her dedication to her grandchildren, who brought her much joy. She enjoyed traveling, visiting with family, attending theater, and painting. Madeline embraced her priorities of faith, family, and friends.

A private family service will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, NY.
