Margot A. Oettl, 75 of Walnutport died Friday December 30, 2016 at Lehigh Valley Hospital. She was the wife of Richard V. Oettl; they celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary this last April. Born in Tamaqua, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret (Burns) Wolfe. Margot worked most recently as a clerk for Northampton Hardware. Prior to that, she worked as a waitress/bartender for the former Al Keiser’s Steakhouse, Michael’s and Romano’s Restaurant in Northampton. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Walnutport. Margot was a former bowler in the East Allentown Fire Co. ladies league.
Survivors: Husband, Daughter; Rebecca and husband Joseph Schock of Walnutport. Son; Anthony F. Oettl of Walnutport. Grandchildren; Jaimie Schock, and Jennifer Wilt. Great Granddaughter; Savanah Wilt. Brother; Charles Wolfe. She was pre-deceased by brothers Frank and Anthony Wolfe.
Services: Mass of Christian Burial 11am Wednesday January 4, 2017 St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 1152 Oak Rd, Walnutport. Calling hour 10-11am at the church. Interment to follow at Assumption BVM Cemetery, Slatington. Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Inc. Slatington
