Mark N. Mack, 88, of Palmerton, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Lehighton Campus. He was the beloved husband of the late Beverly A. (Binder) Mack for 31 years before her passing in March of 2023. Born in Slatington, he was the son of the late Francis and Erna (Roberts) Mack.
Mark worked a variety of jobs throughout his life, including farming, Keystone Lamp Factory, Fritzinger's Bakery, Kern's Florist and most recently at Mack Trucks as a mechanic. He was a member of Diamond Fire Company, Walnutport VFW Post 7215, Vigilant Fire Company, and Springside Fire Company. He was also a former member of Slatington Moose Lodge 1375 and American Legion Post 16.
Mark had a lifelong passion for stock car racing and even owned and raced his own car. He also enjoyed following NASCAR racing. Mark will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Jayne Mack Schoemaker and companion, Donald of Pittsburgh, Lori and husband Charles Kresge of Palmerton, Tami and husband Robert Kieffer of Bethlehem, and Timothy Nicholas and wife Charlene of Ashland; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by three siblings Mae Vogel, Nancy Mack, and Betty Bobal and husband, Richard; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by four brothers, Kenneth, Arnold, Ray, and Donald Mack, and three sisters, Grace Roth, Erma Feinour, and Anna Werley.
A funeral service will held at 12 PM on Tuesday, June 30th, 2026, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second Street. Family and friends may pay their respects from 11 AM to 12 PM in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Mark’s memory to the American Heart Association and mailed to PO Box 840692 Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
