Mark K. Niemkiewicz

Mark K. Niemkiewicz, 55, passed away unexpectedly at home on August 18th, 2022. Born on November 8th, 1966, in Burns Flat, OK, he was the son of the late Joseph and Anna (Ulchinsky) Niemkiewicz. Mark graduated from Northern Lehigh High School in 1985. He had various employers throughout his lifetime, most recently FedEx.

Mark was a lover of old movies, TV shows and music. He enjoyed concerts, swimming, skiing and watching sports, especially football and tennis. He especially enjoyed all family gatherings. Mark was a lifelong member of Assumption BVM Church where he enjoyed serving as a lector. He had a kind soul and tender heart, friendly and welcoming to everyone he met.

Mark is survived by his siblings: Nancy (Peter) Shoudy, Lisa Niemkiewicz, Susan Niemkiewicz, David Niemkiewicz (Diane), and Amy Niemkiewicz. Nieces and nephews Stacy, Steven (Jocelyn), Grant, Anna and Owen.

Dear brother, your struggles are finally over. You will be deeply missed and loved forever.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11AM on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at Assumption BVM Catholic Church, 649 W. Washington Street, Slatington. No calling hours. Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mark’s name can be made to Assumption BVM Church.
