Melvin Jones

Melvin M. Jones 69 of Slatington died Saturday January 4 2014 in his home. He was the husband of Adele (German) Jones with whom he was married for 50 yrs.He was the son of the late Arlene (Snyder)Jones and Matthew Jones. He graduated from Slatington HS in 1962. He was employed at DeFrain Electric until retirement. He was an active sportsman and member of Ontelaunee Rod and Gun Club which sponsored Hunter Education and Junior Archery Instruction among many other activities.



Survivors: Wife Adele; son Duane Jones of West Chester, OH. Sister; Jane Distler and her husband Henry of Slatington.; as well as many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter Lynette Jones and sister Barbara Lalik.



Services: Calling hour Saturday 2-3pm. Services at 3pm Saturday, January 11, 2014, Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 North Second Street, Slatington Pa 18080
