Michele Shellhammer

Michele M. Shellhammer, 49, of Orefield, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia.  She was the wife of Donald A. Shellhammer of Orefield; the couple was married on December 22, 2000.  Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of Dorothy E. (Christman) Youse of Slatington, and the late Robert N. Youse.   Michele was a graduate of Northern Lehigh High School and Allentown Business School.  She was employed for Cedarbrook for 29 years, working as a medical secretary.  Michele was a social member of Cetronia Fire Co. # 1, Egypt VFW Post 7293, American Legion Post 353, Northmapton and the Hockendauqua Hockey Legion 739.
She is survived by husband; mother; brother: Robert J. Youse and wife Mary; sister: Melinda and husband Michael Jacobson.
A graveside service will be held at 10 A.M. on Wednesday May 16, 2018 at Lowhill Cemetery, 4695 Lowhill Church Rd, New Tripoli.   A Celebration of Life will follow at 11 A.M. at the Cetronia Fire Co., 3950 Broadway, Allentown PA 18104.  Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.  Contributions in Michele's memory are suggested to either Forgotten Felines & Fidos, 6022 Mountain Rd, Germansville, PA 18053 or Fisher House Foundation, 12300 Twinbrook Parkway # 410, Rockville, MD 20852
