Nancy E. Gruber

Nancy E. Gruber, 90, formerly of Slatington, passed away peacefully Friday, July 31, 2026 at The Palmerton where she’d been residing.  Born in Allentown on March 4, 1936, she was the only child born to the late Claude and Elizabeth (Jones) Miller.  Nancy was a graduate of Slatington High School, Class of 1954.  Prior to her retirement, Nancy worked as a waitress for the former Twin Lakes Country Club, Allentown.  She also worked as a cafeteria aid for Northern Lehigh School District, and in her younger days was a floor lady for the former Paris Neckwear.  She was a former member of St. Peter’s United Methodist Church, Emerald.  Nancy enjoyed ceramics, art & crafts, and was a former girl scout troop leader.

Nancy will be lovingly remembered by her five children, Brian Williams and wife Cathy of Slatington, Connie wife of Kevin Lum of St. Louis, MO, Lois wife of Michael Graver of Berlinsville, Robert Williams and wife Alisha of Slatington, Carol Williams of Slatington; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a great-granddaughter.

Private family services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, Allentown. No public calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.
