Nancy Smith

Nancy Lou Smith, 85, of New Tripoli, formerly of Slatington passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021, after a long battle with vascular dementia.   She was the wife of Ernest C. Smith, whom she married on August 23, 1952.  Born in Walnutport, she was the daughter of the late Russell A. and Marion V. (Becker) Greenzweig.  Nancy retired from Shea’s Hardware in Palmerton in 1997.  Prior to that, she worked for Paris Accessories in Walnutport for many years.  She was a member of Christ UCC, Walnutport.  Nancy enjoyed being outside working in her flower bed.
In addition to her husband Ernest, she is survived by sons: Jeffrey L. of Germansville, Scott A. of New Tripoli, Stacy L.  and wife Barbara of Albrightsville; 4 grandchildren.  She was predeceased by a daughter-in-law: Kay L. Smith, and siblings: Robert C. Greenzweig, Ethel Bird and Jean Ahner.
A graveside service will be held 3PM on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at Fairview Cemetery, Slatington.   No Calling hours.   Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.
