Paul Chandler

Paul P. “Spider “Chandler, 82 of Slatington passed away Monday April17, 2017 in his home. He was the husband of Anna M. (Smith) Chandler; they celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary last October. Born in Slatington, he was the son of the late Rodney and Catherine (Scott) Chandler. Paul was a US Navy veteran who served during the Korean Conflict. For more than 50 years he was a Union 1174 Laborer, and worked for John Gofreddo and Sons Inc. for many of those years. He was a member and former board member of the Slatington Skeet Club. Paul was an avid bowler, bowling in several leagues at the Palmerton Hungarian Club, and the Slatington Bowling Center.
Survivors: Wife, Son; Michael P. Chandler and wife Lorie of Slatington. 4 Step Grandchildren; Paige, Logan, Jayden & Jaggar. Brothers; Edmond Chandler and wife Carol of Orefield, Joseph Chandler and wife Patricia of Slatington, Jack Chandler and wife Loretta of Treichlers, Eugene Chandler and wife Leann of Northampton, Dennis Chandler and wife Florence of Walnutport. Sisters; Joan and husband Ted Wieand, Veronica and husand Dominick DeFuso all of Slatington, Mary and husband Lamont Raub of Palmerton. He was pre-deceased by a step grandson Justin J. Bachman, and a brother Albert Chandler.
Services: 11am Friday April 21, 2017 Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St Slatington. Calling hour 10-11am at the funeral home.
