Peter Harry

Peter Harry, 90 formerly of Slatington died Friday April 17, 2015 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of the late Perma M. (Laudenslager) Harry who died in 2008. Born in Danielsville, he was the son of the late Peter and Mary (Novack) Harry. Peter was a US Army veteran who served in the battle of bulge during WWII, and was wounded outside of Berlin just days prior to the war ending. He worked as assistant foreman for the Lehigh Valley Dairy. He was a member of St. John’s UCC Slatington. Peter was a member of the American Legion Post 16, Slatington, RW Fritzinger VFW, Walnutport, Oplinger Hower American Legion, Danielsville, Diamond Fire Co., Walnutport, and the Danielsville Democratic Club.
Survivors: Son; David B. Harry and companion Jean Kamerer of Cranberry Twsp, PA. Grandchildren; Stacey Grove and companion Rick Ellis, and Travis Harry, great grandchildren; David, Jonathan, and Megan. Sisters; Margaret Blose of Walnutport. Peter was pre-deceased by siblings Behler, Frank and Joseph Harry, Helen Werley, and Pauline Mack
Services. 11:00am Tuesday April 21, 2015 Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St, Slatington. Calling hour 6-8pm Monday April 20, and 10-11am, Tuesday. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery, Slatington.
