Philip L. Zeiser, Sr. 93 of Slatington died Saturday April 23, 2016 in Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of the late Arlene E. (Reph) Zeiser who died in 2013. Born in West Bowmanstown, he was the son of the late William and Martha (Lorenz) Zeiser. Philip served his country honorably in the US Army during WWII. He worked as a crane operator for Orkin Steel of Slatington. Prior to that, he worked briefly for the NJ Zinc. Co. He was a member of Assumption BVM Catholic Church, Slatington and was a lector, Eucharistic Minister, and member of the Holy Name Society. Philip was also a member of the Slatington Skeet Club, and the American Legion Post 16, Slatington.
Survivors: Sons; Philip L. Zeiser Jr. and wife Susan, Thomas Zeiser and wife Diane both of Friedens. Daughter; Anne and husband Ray Oswald of Laplume PA. Grandchildren; Christine Lehman, Todd Masiar, Thomas and Amy Zeiser, Jill Zeiser, Ethan and Emma Oswald. Great Grandchidlren; Nicholas, Benjamin, and Zachary Lehman, Cole and Kacey Zeiser. He was pre-deceased by a daughter Janet Masiar, brothers Edmund and William, and sisters; Anna Kolish, Pauline Trotter, Agnes, Mary and Martha Zeiser.
Services: Memorial Mass 11AM Friday April 29, 2016 Assumption BVM, 649 W. Washington St, Slatington. Calling hour 10-11 AM at the church.
