Radell M. Koons, 85, of Danielsville, passed away Sept. 10, 2009 in Blue Mountain Health Care System, Gnaden Huetten Campus, Lehighton. She was the wife of Norman D. Koons. They celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary last October. Born in Berlinsville, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Pauline (Lever) Kleintop. Radell graduated from the Allentown School of Nursing. She worked for the United States Post Office in Danielsville and also for Western Electric. Survivors: Husband; son, David and his wife, Brenda Koons, of Danielsville; daughters, Susan and her husband, Gregg Henritzy, of Walnutport, Cheryl Coberly of Whitehall, Cynthia Tompkins of Jamison; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; brother, Marshall Kleintop of Sellersville. Services: graveside, 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 15, 2009 in Indianland Cemetery, 787 Almond Road, Cherryville, Pa. No calling hour. Arrangements, Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St., Slatington, 18080. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, to the Alzheimer's Association , c/o the funeral home.
