Richard D. Kuntz, formerly of Walnutport, passed away on Thursday June 13, 2024, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill Campus. He was the beloved son of Frances (Hewitt) Kuntz of Walnutport and the late Robert Kuntz.

A faithful member of Good Shepherd United Church of Slatington, He poured his heart into his work, diligently busing tables at Pizza Hut and Pasta Bella in the Lehigh Valley Mall, where he became a familiar and beloved presence to countless patrons. His warm smile and gentle spirit touched the hearts of all who crossed his path.

Richard will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he may be gone from our sight, his memory will forever remain etched in our hearts.

In addition to his devoted mother, Frances, he will be lovingly remembered by his brother, Ronald Kuntz and wife Maria of Northampton, and sisters, Donna Fox of Northampton and Debra, wife of George Smith of Walnutport. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Robert Kuntz. 

Services for Richard will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Richard’s memory to Good Shepherd United Church of Christ at 3940 Mountain Road, Slatington, PA 18080. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated nurses and aides at Cedarbrook Nursing Home for their compassionate care and support.
