Slatington

Ricky D. Kistler, 70, of Slatington, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at his residence.  Born in Slatington, he was the beloved son of the late Ray M. U. and Fern J. (Easterday) Kistler.

Ricky was a 1974 graduate of Slatington High School.  He dedicated his life to working demanding jobs and working hard to provide for the people he loved. He began his career at Casilio Concrete, where he was a proud member of Teamsters Local Union 773.  Through years of hard work and dedication, he built a long and rewarding career, eventually retiring from Rahn's Concrete.  Ricky was a member of the Sons of the American Legion (SAL), the Slatington Skeet Club, and the Slatington Moose.

When he wasn't working, Ricky found his greatest happiness outdoors.  He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time in nature.  In retirement, some of his most cherished moments were spent with his camper at the Promised Land.  Above all, his greatest love was for his girls and his grandchildren, who meant the world to him.  Ricky was the kind of man whose heart was always open.  If someone he loved needed him, he never hesitated. He would drop everything to lend a helping hand. He gave his time generously and expected nothing in return.  He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.

Ricky will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Heather L. Truett of Slatington and Shannon L. Kistler and fiancé, Scott Heyer of Slatington; three grandchildren, Kylee, Layla, and Lennon; and sister, Donna Kistler of Orefield. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by five brothers, Larry, Ronald, Leonard, and Glenn Kistler; and one sister, Phyllis Sigley.

Services will be announced at a later date. Harding Funeral Home, Inc., of Slatington, is honored to be entrusted with Ricky’s arrangements.
