Robert Heffelfinger

Robert P. "Sonny"쳌 Heffelfinger 85 of Walnutport, formerly of Danielsville Passed away July 19, 2013 in the Lehigh Valley Health Care Hospice unit at 17th & Chew St. Allentown. He was the husband of Joanne L. (Minnich) Heffelfinger: they celebrated their 63 wedding anniversary last September. Born in Danielsville, he was the son of the late Arling & Ida (Reph) Heffelfinger. He owned and operated Robert P. Heffelfinger Aluminum Products for 30 years, retiring in 1990.When his late son Charles R. Heffelfinger took over the business. He was a member of the Oplinger Hower American Legion Post # 899, Danielsville ,and the VFW Post 7215 Walnutport, a life member of the Lehigh Twp Fire Co., Monoqusy FA&M. He served in the US Navy, during WWII. Robert was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Cherryville.

Survivors: Wife, Son Bobby and wife Lori Heffelfinger, Rotonda, FL. Sisters Peggy Holtzinger, Palmerton, Marjorie wife of Gene Goebel, Grover Beach Cal. Grandchildren, Michael, Natalia, Jesse, Collin, Madison. Great Grandchildren, Dylan, ZuZu Petals, Magnus, Augustus, Hunter, Hayley, Emerson, Weston. Pre-deseased son Charles P. in 2006. Pre-deseased Brothers, Truman, Donald, Jack, Roy. Pre-deseased Sister, Jean Ayers.

Services: 2 pm, Thursday, July 25, 2013 in Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St., Slatington. Viewing Wednesday Evening 7 to 8:30 pm, and 1 to 2 pm Thursday
