Robert Leary

Robert E. “Bob” Leary, 90 of Walnutport died Wednesday September 16, 2015 at home. He was the husband of Gladys “Sue” (Yale) Leary; they celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary on September 11. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Harry J. and Florence M. (McPherson) Leary. He was a US Navy veteran serving in WWII. Bob worked in the accounting division for Strawbridge & Clothier for 37 years before retiring. He was a member and treasurer of the United Presbyterian Church of Slatington.
Survivors: Wife; Daughter; Susan L. Leary of Palmerton. Son; Robert B. Leary and wife Ellen of Westmont, NJ. 11 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren.
Services: 11am Saturday September 19, 2015 United Presbyterian Church of Slatington, 6750 PA Rte 873, Slatington. Calling period 10-11am at the church.
