Robert Scharadin

Robert H. Scharadin, 93, of Slatington passed away July 4, 2013 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Center, Salisbury Twp. He was the husband of Shirley I. Kromer, they celebrated their 4th wedding anniversary this past September, and the late Kathleen Scharadin. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Arthur W. and Ruth Scharadin. Robert was a staff agent for 40 years for Washington National Insurance and was also a Kmart greeter for 10 years. He was a member of Allen ODelke American Post #16 where he was a past commander for two terms. Survivors: Wife; sons, Craig and wife Bernice K. Scharadin of Macungie, Brian Scharadin of Allentown; step-son, Brian and wife Rose Kromer of Nazareth; step-daughter, Carol and husband Ronald Schleppy of Slatington; grandchildren, Travis, Logan, Amy and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Lorelai, Lily and Leighton; step-grandsons, Brian Jr. and wife Heather Kromer, Justin and wife Christina Kromer, and Ronald Jr. and wife Gretchen Schleppy; sister, June Peltz of Macungie. Services: 11 a.m., July 9, 2013 at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second Street, Slatington. Calling hour, 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem, PA.
