Robyn A. “Chipper” Williams, III, 78, of Slatington, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2026, in his home. He was the husband of the late Rainelle L. (Fenstermaker) Williams, who passed away in 1999. Born in Allentown, he was the youngest of four children born to the late Robyn A. Jr., and Anna M. (Fritzinger) Williams. Chipper was a graduate of Slatington High School, Class of 1965. He then served his country honorably and proudly as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps from 1965 to 1969. During his service, Chipper served multiple tours in the Vietnam War and later became a Drill Instructor. He spent his entire fifty-year career with Mack Trucks before retiring as a material technician in 2022. Chipper was a former member and past commander of the VFW Post 7218, Walnutport, a former firefighter with the Diamond Fire Co., and a member of both the Slatington Skeet Club and Slatington Moose.
He is survived by his sons, Glenn Williams and wife Angela of Slatington, Tadd Williams and wife Megan of Nazareth; grandchildren, Ariana, Teagan, Amelia, Oliver, as well as nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Neil & Richard Williams, and Lois Hackman.
A memorial service will be held at 2PM on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. 2nd Street, Slatington. Family and friends may visit with the family from 1 to 2PM at the funeral home. Interment to follow with military honors at Fairview Cemetery, Slatington. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Walnutport Canal Association, c/o the funeral home.
