Ronald Hartzell

Ronald L. Hartzell, 76, of Palmerton, formerly of Walnutport and Slatington passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Monroe Campus.  He was the husband of the late Shirley (Halko) Hartzell, who passed away in 2010.  Born in Allentown on September 12, 1945, he was the son of the late Harold and Rea (Christman) Hartzell.   Ron worked most recently as a mechanic for Ryder Trucking.   He was a member of the Slatington Skeet Club, American Legion Post 16, Slatington, and the VFW in Walnutport.
Ron is survived by sister: Linda and husband Walter Brearman of Slatington; stepbrothers: Carl Hartzell, David Hartzell and wife Eleanor.   He was predeceased by a brother Levan Hartzell.
A graveside service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Union Cemetery, PA Rte 873, Slatington.   No Calling hours.   Arrangements are under the direction of Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.
