Samuel Lilly, Jr.

Samuel T. Lilly Jr., 94, formerly of Slatington passed away Wednesday February 14, 2018 in Cedarbrook, Allentown.  He was the husband of the late Teresa R. (Weinman) Lilly who passed away in 1990.   Born in Slatington, he was one of eleven children to the late Samuel T. Sr. and Estella (Walters) Lilly.  Sam was a US Army veteran, who served during WWII.   He worked as a steam leader for the former Bethlehem Steel Corp.   Sam was a member of the Slatington Moose, the American Legion Post 16, Slatington and the Bowmanstown Fire Co.
He is survived by a brother: Donald “Twopper’ Lilly of Bowmanstown; sister: Gladys Burke of DE; nieces & nephews.  He was pre-deceased by his son Gregory.
A graveside service will be held at 10 A.M. on Saturday February 24, 2018 at Assumption BVM Catholic Cemetery, 7th St, Slatington.  No Calling hours.  Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.
