Shirley J. Day

Shirley J. Day, 87, of Danielsville, passed away Friday, January 23, 2026, in her home. She was the wife of the late Robert F. Day, Jr., who passed away in 2017. Born in Slatington on December 7, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Doris (Griffith) Fritz. Shirley retired from Paris Neckware in Walnutport, where she worked as a floor lady. Throughout her working years, she loved working in retail at various local department stores. She was a member of St. John’s UCC, Slatington, and participated in numerous church groups. Shirley also enjoyed arts & crafts, especially crocheting.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Robert A. Day & Thomas A. Day, both of Danielsville; grandson, Connor Day; Step-grandson, Colton Burkhardt.

Private family services will be held at the Danielsville Union Cemetery. Harding Funeral Home, Slatington has been entrusted with her arrangements.
