Stanley Hoffman

Stanley E. Hoffman, 74, of Friedens, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Fox Subacute Center, Warrington.  He was the husband of the late Ellen (Smith) Hoffman, who passed away in 2010.  Born on February 16, 1944 in Slatington, he was the son of the late LeRoy H. Sr., and Pauline A. (Roth) Hoffman.  Stanley was a US Army veteran who served during the Vietnam era.  He was employed with Nestle Purina in the production line until retiring.   Prior to that, he worked as a supervisor for the American Nickeloid in Walnutport, and also worked for the former Paris Neckware.   Stanley was a member of St. John’s UCC, Slatington.  He served as past line officer, fire police and past president of the Friedens Fire Co., and also member and fundraising chairman of the Slatedale Emerald Lions Club.
He is survived by a sister: Grace and husband John Wisser of Friedens; brothers: Ernest Hoffman and wife Susan, Sherwood Hoffman and wife Linda all of Friedens; Nieces & Nephews.  He was predeceased by a sister Irene Hess, and brothers LeRoy Jr. and Earl Hoffman.
A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, September 10, 2018 at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second Street, Slatington.  A calling hour will be from 10 to 11A.M.  Interment with military honors will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Slatington.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name can be made to the Friedens Fire Co., 3158 Friedens Rd, Slatington PA 18080
