Susan O'Donnell

Susan A. O’Donnell, 73 of Weatherly, loving wife of Robert W. O’Donnell passed away Tuesday May 9, 2017 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital, following a battle with multiple myeloma. Born in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late Clark C. and June I. (Mack) Eckhart. She graduated Phi-Theta Kappa from NCC. For the last 30 years, she was employed with Sacred Heart Hospital, and was awarded Sacred Heart Award for outstanding patient care. She also worked at Fellowship Manor, and Ganden Huetten Hospital Susan loved camping, cruising, and the sea shore. She was an animal person and had multiple daschunds as well as a devoted Sheltie, Lexie. She served on the Slatington Ambulance for many years, and was active with the Association for Children with Learning Disabilities. Her greatest joy was her family.
Survivors: Husband, Sons; David Dieter and wife Kathleen, Dean Dieter and wife Deborah. Daughters; Sharon Stanley and companion Jay Poplawski, Heather and husband Gabe Wright. Step-children; Robert O’Donnell, Jr. and wife Terri, Thomas O’Donnell and companion Lori Rice, Betty Jane and husband Thomas Fisher, and Susan. Grandchildren; Melissa, Ashley, Brittany, Maebh, Michael, Brandon, Tyler, Tiffani, John, Shane. and Jonathan. Great Grandchild; Greyson. Brothers; Gary Eckhart and spouse Roarke, Donald Eckhart, and Rick Eckhart and wife MaryEllen.
