Thomas J. Babyak

Thomas J. Babyak, Jr., 66, of Walnutport passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 29, 2022, in his home.   Born in Palmerton, he was the son of Cesaria (Garcia) Babyak of Kunkletown, and the late Thomas Babyak.   Tommy worked for Penn Big Bed Slate Co., the American Nickeloid in Walnutport, and Deka batteries.   He was a member of Assumption BVM Catholic Church, Slatington., the Slatington Skeet Club, and the S.A.L. Post 16, Slatington.
He is survived by his daughter: Amanda and husband Jeffrey Maehrer of Slatington; grandchildren: Marisa Kay, Alexa Kay; brother: Joseph Babyak and wife Elizabeth of Whitehall; sister: Cindy and husband Joe Sander of Slatington.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 12 PM on Friday, May 6, 2022, at Assumption BVM Catholic Church, 649 W. Washington St, Slatington.  Family and friends may pay their respects from 11AM to 12PM at church.   Interment to follow at the parish cemetery.   Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.   In lieu of flowers, contributions in Tommy’s name are suggested to either Assumption BVM Memorial Fund of the Lehigh County Humane Society, 640 Dixon St, Allentown PA 18103.
