Warren R. Henritzy, 82, of Slatington, passed away Monday, May 4, 2026, at Cedarbrook, Allentown. He was the husband of Jeannette S. (Allin) Henritzy, whom he married on January 23, 1965. Born in Palmerton on February 7, 1944, he was the son of the late Charles B. and Joyce (Greene) Henritzy. He was a graduate of Slatington High School, Class of 1962. Warren served his country honorably & proudly in the US Navy from 1962 to 1966 in the Vietnam era. Warren began his career working for the former Bethlehem Steel. Later he was employed by Bell Telephone as an installer and retired from Verizon as a mainline trouble shooter after 34 years of service. Following his retirement, Warren worked part-time as a school van driver, driving for Northampton Area School District, Carbon Lehigh IU, and finally Northern Lehigh School District. He was a member of St. John’s UCC, Slatington, and a 50 year plus member of the American Legion Post 16, Slatington.

In addition to his wife, Jeannette, he will be lovingly remembered by a daughter, Susanjane and husband Andrew Reis of Palmerton; sons, Stuart Henritzy, Stephen Henritzy and wife Lori, both of Slatington; grandchildren, Shane, Alyssa, Jeffrey (Aubrey), Nichole (Justin); Great-grandchildren, Penelope, Leah, Wesley; brother, Edward Henritzy and wife Diane of SC, sister, Mary Louise and husband Paul Parks of Slatington; godchildren, Tara Willingham & Sean Gentle; and nieces & nephews.

A memorial service will be 11am Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. 2nd Street, Slatington. Family and friends may pay their respects from 10 to 11am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Warren’s name can be made to the Slatington Veterans Memorial, c/o the funeral home.
