Wilma A. Gill

Wilma A. Gill, 99, of Lehighton, passed away Monday, June 3, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Lehighton Campus.   She was the wife of the late John Gill, Sr.   Born in Mahanoy City on July 28, 1924, she was the daughter of the late William and Marie (Tempest) Dodds.   Wilma worked many years at various shoe stores and shirt factories.   She was a faithful member of Lighthouse Baptist Church, Lehighton.  

Wilma will be lovingly remembered by her son: William Gill of Pearce, AZ; daughter-in-law: Linda Gill with whom she resided; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren.   She was pre-deceased by her son, John “Jack” Gill, Jr., brothers, William and Earl Dodds and sister, Marie Morgan. 

A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Friday, June 7, 2024, at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 1349 Green Street, Lehighton, PA.  Family and friends may pay their respects from 10 to 11AM at the church.   Burial will be private.
Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.
