Winifred Craig

Winifred A. Craig, 86, of Slatington, passed away Monday, October 1, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem.  She was the wife of the late Charles W. Craig.  Born on April 3, 1932 in Cherryville, she was the daughter of the late George and Esther (Owens) Knecht.   Winifred was employed with Kmart in Walnutport, working as a clerk prior to retiring in 1993.   She was of the Catholic faith.
She is survived by daughters: Bridget Long of Palm, PA, Lisa and husband Martin Tyahla of Palmerton, Shannon Zelinski of Walnutport, Molly and husband Bruce Achey of Allentown; Son: John Confer and wife Lissa of Daisytown, PA; Grandchildren: Nathan Ressler, Ivory Romagnoli, Dylan Tyahla, John Tyahla, Brandy Ferrell; Great-Grandchildren: Grant, Grace, James, Gabriella and Ryan Joseph.  She was predeceased by a grandson Kenneth Ressler and sisters Elizabeth Ware, Virginia Howey and Janet Sodl.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 1152 Oak Rd, Walnutport.   A calling period will be held 6 to 8 P.M. on Friday October 5, 2018 at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second Street, Slatington and 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. Saturday at the church.  Contributions in Winifred’s name can be made to Susan G.
