Lee Snyder

Lee S. Snyder, 81, of Walnutport, passed away on Sunday October 10, 2021, in his home.  He was the husband of the late Eleanor J. (Van Buskirk) Snyder who died on September 1, 2021.  Born in Egypt, PA on October 23, 1939, he was the son of the late Harvey and Elsie V. (Guth) Snyder.   Lee worked as a line inspector for Mack Trucks for many years before retiring.   He also was the owner/operator of a gas / service station in Orefield.   Lee was one of the co-founders of the Penn Jersey Horse Show Association (PJHSA), was a member of the National Rifle Assoc. (NRA), American Quarter Horse Assoc. (AQHA), Keystone Quarter Horse Assoc.(KQHA) and member of the Bunker Hill Beagle Club.  He loved his family, farm, and hunting.
Lee is survived by daughters; Kelly and husband Jason Hankee of Walnutport, Sherry and husband Bob Reichard of Bethlehem, Donna Hart and companion Joseph Senko of NY, Randie O’Neil, PhD of NJ; son: Jody L. Snyder and wife Megan of Walnutport; grandchildren: Allison, Julia & Dominick DiNapoli, Nicholas & Seth Hankee; Sister: Annetta (Nettie) Geiger of FL.  He was predeceased by siblings Ray Snyder, Marion Butz and Hilda Gower.
A memorial service will be held at 6pm on Monday October 11, 2021, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St, Slatington PA.   Family and friends may visit with the family from 5 to 6pm at the funeral home.   In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lee’s name can be made to Northampton County 4H Scholarship Fund c/o the funeral home.
